Shepherds
Sheep herding is not only a profession, but a way of life. The animals are herded to the pasture for the first time in the year on April 24th, the day of St. George. Levente Kedves and the other shepherds work 16-18 hours a day, and stays until the middle of September, the first bigger frosts at the pasture near Nagy-Hagymás. They do pasturing, look after the animals, milk them, prepare cheese and also slaughter the animals. Shepherds here come from the neighbouring settlements, Csíkszentdomokos, Csíkmadaras and Balánbánya.
